One of the many features associated with
Pacific Coast Entertainment’s recent move to a larger facility is an expanded retail space and associated inventory. “We’re all about our customers and the PCE Store helps us meet their needs” says PCE COO Ryan Steidinger. Gaff tape and lighting gel are always in stock as are audio and video cables, replacement lamps, safety cables, flash lights, and more. Customers are encouraged to call the PCE Store at (714) 841-6455 for all of their consumable show supplies as well as their equipment rental needs.
The PCE Store has what you want to make your show a go including three handy lighting tools from The Light Source. In stock and available now are the Mega-Combo, Mongo, and Mega-Handle wrenches designed specifically to meet lighting techs’ needs.
The diminutive Mega-Combo Wrench is big enough to do it’s job and small enough to hang on a keychain. The massive Mongo-Combo Wrench fastens just about everything the Mega-Combo Wrench can plus the Mega-Couple nut, wing nuts, and it’s a bottle opener too. The Mega-Handle Square attaches to and becomes a part of a fixture and is held in place with a 1/2” x 3” square head set screw. These solid wrenches are must have hand tools for the serious lighting and stage technician.

Pacific Coast Entertainment’s summertime festival production schedule rolls on, including Surfing’s US Open and Huntington Beach shows why it has earned the title “Surf City USA”.
PCE and festival sponsor Pacifico teamed up to create a fan interaction zone with a character unique to the event site. The palapa-style enclave hosted DJ’s, VJ’s and Pacifico Brand stylings, true to Pacifico’s ‘playa’ image.
PCE ‘s Tim Hemrich was charged with providing audio and video for Pacifico’s multi-day presence on the beach. This event draws several hundred thousand people over five days and once again PCE is on-hand and flawless!
And with the workday done, Tim finds the best seat in the house for rockers Cobra Starship.
Ain’t Life a Beach!

Once again Pacific Coast Entertainment and The Art Institute of Inland Empire shows its got talent! In its second year of production, AIIE puts on its homage to fashion in ‘Fashion Empire’.
Colinne Hemrich from Code 4 Media Group designs and produces this annual event, showcasing top talent from AI’s Fashion Design Program. In addition to the remarkable student designs, guests were treated to a runway production rivaling any major fashion event as well as the latest trends from some of the fashion world’s top designers. Celebrity judges, incredible models, and a stage set design from Code 4 Media Group made this year’s event the high-profile, must-do kickoff to the summer. On hand in Victoria Garden’s Lewis Family Playhouse, were our good friends String Theory. Once again their unique brand of instruments and method of deployment created as much excitement as the hot fashions under the hot lights. Pacific Coast Entertainment and the crew of Lewis Family Playhouse combined forces and made this year’s production the new high-water mark. Our thanks to LFP’s Tony Schondel and his crew for their skill and creativity. But it didn’t end there! PCE’s Tim Hemrich managed technical design and production for the fashion show as well as Inland Empire’s grooviest after party. Code 4 Media Group once again shows its got talent, as it unleashes its considerable know-how to design and style-out the venue for the who’s-who of IE.
Look for PCE at The Irvine Spectrum on July 24th. Music under the sun and stars and our good friends at Toms Shoes.
See you there!
Rock The Runway… and we did! Along with The Raveonettes and local talent BLOK.
Now in its third year, Rock The Runway-The Art Institute of Orange County’s annual homage to fashion, music and art continues to evolve. This event recognizes AI’s up and coming fashion designers with an opportunity to strut their stuff. In addition to a fabulous stage, runway & set from Code 4 Media Group, C4MG designers and talented crews transformed the facility’s interiors and exteriors to create this year’s festival. Pacific Coast Entertainment and C4MG continue to lead the industry in brand-centric event production. PCE under the technical direction of Tim Hemrich, was charged with providing concert lighting and sound as well as LED Video Walls on stage and a high output LCD Projector Array to transform 15,000 square feet of AI’s main building exterior into a ‘Warhol’esque video screen. Celebrity judges, VIP attendees and thousands of revelers enjoyed some of the best weather in recent memory as well as the elusive and much sought-after KOGI BBQ truck… Two trucks in fact!
AIOC continues its tradition of celebrating creativity in its many forms and PCE is honored to be part of that tradition.
“Creating art for artists… Now that’s chicken soup for the soul.”
Corporate shows can be just as much fun as the swankiest after-party. The beautiful St Regis in Dana Point, was the setting for an outdoor evening reception with String Theory. This eclectic brand of world music employs a unique musical element. The harp-like instrument… actually, it is a harp… created as much excitement with our riggers as it did with the guests. The team from String Theory takes advantage of site specific features, to implant an instrument whose functioning string tentacles extend hundreds of feet from center stage, ensnaring and embracing the property’s dramatic observation deck.

Custom Harp which is played by the harp fixed onto the stage. The strings are rigged to the hotel 3rd floor terrace. Click the photo to be directed to String Theory's website.
Pacific Coast Entertainment’s Tim Hemrich was charged with providing concert quality sound and lighting. The combination of fantastic sights and sounds made this an evening to be remembered.
Thanks to our friends at The St. Regis for their hard work and dedication.
Look for us and String Theory at Victoria Gardens’ Lewis Family Playhouse in June.
The month of April started with more moving and unpacking at the new office, organizing the warehouse (it’s finally almost complete!), trying out the Self-Climbing Truss in the parking lot, and a cancelled LA Galaxy game (bummer).
PCE did have a blast participating in the Persian New Year – known as Nowrūz – on Saturday, April 3rd at the Pomona Fairplex.
Apart from some seriously festive individuals and a crowd of all ages, germane musicians entertained from a most appealing PCE setup.
For this particular production PCE used the LED Video Wall, Self-Climbing Truss Rig, and the QSC Line Array.
The show was very successful! The LED Wall looked amazing from afar.
It was a great way to kick off the month and start Spring! More outdoor events to come…
PCE’s staging and rigging department have added one ton rated Columbus McKinnen (CM) Lodestar chain hoists to their rental stock. Motors and controllers are new to PCE’s inventory and provide customers more of what they need to produce shows. Motors can be rented for $125 a week.
Contact PCE for details.
